Carl’s Jr. burgers delivered to your door

DoorDash and CKE Restaurants are joining forces to hawk a fast-food combo deal of a different variety, one where hungry patrons too busy (or too lazy) to pick up takeout can find someone else to do the job for them.

The food delivery startup and the Carl’s Jr. owner announced Tuesday that they have teamed up, meaning DoorDash customers in Southern California can now order burgers, sandwiches, fries, shakes and salads from their smartphones, and get items dispatched straightaway to their home or office in the San Diego, Orange County and Los Angeles regions where DoorDash delivers.

The partnership applies to more than 100 Carl’s Jr. restaurants, including about a dozen stores in San Diego.
